Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross couldn't wait to get to bat in the third inning of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old backstop prematurely rushed off the field the half inning prior after a second strike was called on New York Mets hitter Steven Matz.
Ross also embarrassingly tossed the ball to a fan in the front row of the stands, which he had to take back.
Matz struck out two pitches later.
