Cardinals' Martinez will miss next start to rest back

Carlos Martinez needs a day off. Luckily for him, he pitches for a St. Louis Cardinals rotation that can afford to grant his wish.
The 23-year-old will miss his Tuesday start to rest an ailing back, which he told the St. Louis Dispatch's Derrick Goold was nothing serious.
Left-hander Marco Gonzales will make the start instead.
Martinez is in the midst of a breakout campaign, but he's already pitched 65 more innings than last season.
The right-hander owns a 13-6 record with a 2.91 ERA and 1.27 WHIP, while striking out 9.1 hitters per nine innings in 24 starts.
