Altuve's career-high 5 RBIs help Astros pull even with Angels atop AL West
HOUSTON - Jose Altuve had a career-high five RBIs to lead the Houston Astros to a 10-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night in a game between the top teams in the American League West.
The Astros, who entered the day a game behind the Angels in the standings, fell behind by three early before tying it up with a three-run second inning featuring a two-run homer by Chris Carter and an RBI single by Altuve.
Altuve drove in two runs in the fourth inning and tacked on another two with a double in Houston's four-run sixth to make it 10-5. He finished with three hits.

The second contest of the pivotal three-game set goes Wednesday, with the Astros sending new acquisition Scott Kazmir to the hill to oppose Matt Shoemaker.
