Cano, who is out of Thursday's lineup against the Indians, is dealing with flu-like symptoms, Christian Caple of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Analysis:

It's not too surprising that Cano's feeling less than 100 percent, seeing as he's otherwise been in the lineup for every game this season. He's been one of the bigger disappointments in all of baseball so far, sporting a .253/.296/.333 slash line through 46 games. Given his age (32), increased strikeout rate (16.1 percent) and decreased contact rate (82.5 percent), there's plenty of cause for legitimate concern. Still, Cano figures to bounce back to some extent, even if he doesn't quite meet expectations.
