This was expected, as the White Sox said they would use Gillaspie in Thursday's doubleheader and he was not in the lineup for the first game. After getting some time off with the team playing the last three games on artificial turf in Toronto, Gillaspie should be will-rested for the second half of Thursday's doubleheader. Look for him and Gordon Beckham to continue a fairly even split of playing time at third base going forward.
