Collin Cowgill: (Hand) Will Meet Doctors Wednesday

Cowgill will meet with doctors Wednesday regarding his right hand injury, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports.

Analysis:

Cowgill missed his third straight start when he was held out of the lineup Wednesday, but since he's not a full-time player anyway, it's been difficult to gauge his progress. The outfielder apparently attempted to swing earlier in the day, but did not sure enough comfort to warrant a starting nod. Following his examination, the team will likely decide whether or not a DL stint will be necessary for Cowgill.
