Phillips aggravated his turf toe in his left foot recently and it will cause him to miss a minimum of two games including Wednesday. Skip Schumaker will receive the start in his place, batting leadoff for the Reds. The team has off Thursday, so a return to the lineup Friday isn't out of the question if his pain subsides.
