Scans on Myers' injured left wrist revealed "marked improvement" Tuesday, but he remains without a timetable to begin swinging a bat, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Manager Bud Black said the scans showed less fluid buildup around the tendons of Myers' wrist, but the 24-year-old continues to experience soreness. The Padres will have Myers rest up and do some strengthening exercises for a few more days before determining his next course of action. Entering Tuesday's game against the Angels, the Padres have gone 4-9 and are averaging only 3.3 runs without their leadoff hitter in the lineup.
