Callaspo is in the Braves' lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers, starting at third base and batting seventh.

Analysis:

The 32-year-old was a very late scratch from Monday's lineup, and manager Fredi Gonzalez openly admitted after the game that the team was trying to trade Callaspo and didn't want him to get hurt. According to various reports, the Braves had a deal in place to send Callaspo to the Dodgers for Juan Uribe, but apparently Callaspo vetoed the trade. Whether Atlanta works out a deal or not, it seems Callaspo's opportunity to play regularly with Atlanta may be nearing an end, as Chris Johnson (hand) is on the verge of returning.
