Jose Altuve: Gets Day Off Sunday

Altuve will be out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Altuve has appeared in all 44 of the Astros' games this season and is 3-for-32 over his last eight games, so Sunday's day off seems to be strictly for maintenance purposes. Marwin Gonzalez will cover second base in Altuve's absence, while George Springer settles into the leadoff spot.
