(SportsNetwork.com) - Shelby Miller was sensational his last time on the mound and looks to pitch the Atlanta Braves back into the win column Saturday versus the Milwaukee Brewers in the third test of a four-game series.

Miller was aiming for a no-hitter in Sunday's 6-0 win at Miami, but the bid was broken up with two outs in the ninth inning. Miller ended up allowing two hits, struck out four and walked one batter.

"Obviously things didn't finish the way we wanted, but we got a sweep," said Miller. "And at the end of the day, I had a lot of fun. That's all that matters."

The right-hander is 5-1 with a 1.33 earned run average in eight starts and the Braves are 7-1 when he takes the mound this season. Miller, in his first stint with Atlanta, already has two shutouts on the season and aims to stay unbeaten in his career against the Brewers. Miller is 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA in eight starts in this series.

Atlanta was rocked in Friday's opener to the tune of 11-0 and Eric Stults struggled in 3 2/3 innings of work, charged with seven runs, three hits and five walks. He struck out five to fall to 1-5 this season, and took the spot of an ill Alex Wood.

"We weren't thinking, 'Go out and give us seven or eight innings or a two-hit shutout,'" Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "It was an emergency spot start. After the third inning, you go 'OK, he's going to be able to give us five innings.'"

Cameron Maybin, Nick Markakis and Trevor Cahill provided the hits for the Braves, who had won two straight and five of six games.

The Brewers broke out the bats in a big way to improve to 4-4 on a 10-game road trip, as Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer and finished with four RBI. Braun was 3-for-3 at the plate and Khris Davis knocked in two runs for Milwaukee, which put the game away with seven runs in the fourth inning.

"I feel good. Working on my mechanics. Just mechanically getting back to a good place," Braun said.

Wily Peralta threw four shutout innings in the start and Michael Blazek picked up the win with three scoreless innings of relief.

Mike Fiers gets the call for the Brewers Saturday and is 1-4 with a 4.75 earned run average in eight starts. He did not factor in the outcome of a 3-2 win at Detroit on Monday and yielded two runs in 5 2/3 innings. Fiers is 1-1 in three road assignments and will face Atlanta for the first time.

The Braves won five of their seven meetings with the Brewers last season, taking three of four at home.
