Analysis:
Although the struggles of Jedd Gyorko have opened up at-bats at second base, it's typically been Yangervis Solarte who has gotten the nod ahead of Spangenberg to see extra starts. Spangenberg will finally get a chance to state a case for further playing time while simultaneously slotting into a favorable spot of the order ahead of mashers Matt Kemp and Justin Upton. It might be enough to make him a worthy value play for daily gamers.
