Homer Bailey: Back on the DL
Bailey has been placed on the 15-day DL with a right elbow ligament sprain.
Analysis:
He was previously scheduled to start Thursday against the Braves, but the Reds will have to look elsewhere for an option to take the ball that day. Bailey has shown diminished velocity this season, and given that he's returning surgery to repair a torn flexor mass in his right forearm, Bailey's setback is particularly problematic.
