MLB Game Summary - Atlanta at Detroit

Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Bethancourt homered and the Atlanta Braves came away with a 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers Monday in Grapefruit League action.

Bethancourt's first homer of the spring tied the game in the seventh inning and Phil Gosselin and Joe Benson added an RBI apiece in the eighth to give the Braves the win.

Jace Peterson had three hits and scored a pair of runs for the Braves.

Ian Kinsler had two hits and drove in a run for the Tigers.

Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz went 3 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on five hits.

His counterpart, Detroit starter Alfredo Simon, went six innings, yielding one run on five hits.
