Reds to introduce room for nursing moms

Nursing moms who bring their newborns to Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park this summer will get the opportunity to tend to their little ones with the comfort and privacy of home, reports ESPN's Darren Rovell.

In response to increased demand from female fans needing to nurse their children at the ballpark, the Cincinnati Reds will debut a nursing center this season, believed to be the first such site inside a sports arena.

"It just didn't make sense that we would put a couple chairs in the women's bathrooms," said chief operating officer Phil Castellini, a father of five.

Constructed by Fischer Homes, a local home-builder, the new nursing center can be used for things like feeding and changing diapers, while the space is equipped with private bathrooms, a kitchenette, refrigerator and lockers.

"We'll also have flat screen TVs so that they won't miss the game, and there will be toys to play with if the 3-year-old has to come with them," Castellini said.
