Castillo has been exposed to right field the last two days, the Providence Journal reports.

Analysis:

It's been posited that Castillo, who missed two weeks of training camp with an oblique injury, could open the season at Triple-A but Shane Victorino's durability has become a concern in Boston's clubhouse. Having Castillo acclimate to a new position is insurance should Victorino begin the regular season on the disabled list. If Victorino is active, but not a full-time player, then Boston could cover him with Daniel Nava and/or Allen Craig, thus allowing Castillo to get regular at-bats at Triple-A Pawtucket.
