San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy is feeling rejuvenated following a scary start to his spring that landed him in the hospital with discomfort in his chest.

"I feel great," Bochy told MLB Network Radio. "I had a little bump in the road first day of the workout but I feel great. I just had a little discomfort there and thank goodness for modern medicine and I had my trainer and my doctor here."

The 59-year-old was admitted to hospital Feb. 20 following his team physical and had two stents inserted in a minor heart procedure. He was released from hospital shortly after and returned to the team three days later.

"I just feel so much better and it's really amazing the difference in how I feel. You don't realize it, it's something that kind of creeps up on you and just kind of slows you down. Now that I had that done I'm good to go. I'm ready."
