Dickerson will be seeing work at first base and the outfield during spring training, Jeff Sanders of the Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Dickerson's ability to play first base will serve him well given how crowded the Padres are in the outfield. He played in the outfield at the Double-A level in 2014 as he was coming off foot surgery. He'll continue to get some outfield work, but the majority of his spring training work will come at first. He's still a long shot to make the major league roster when camp breaks, however.
