Graveman enters camp in the competition for one of the A's available starting rotation spots, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Analysis:

Stephen Vogt caught Graveman already this spring and described his stuff as "electric" with a lot of "late movement." Graveman had an impressive 2014, pitching across five different levels while moving from Single-A all the way to the majors. Graveman had a 1.83 ERA over 27 minor league starts in 2014, only walking 31 batters in 167.1 innings. If he loses out on the Oakland rotation competition, he will likely be in the Triple-A Nashville rotation to begin the year with a chance for a quick call-up when a starter gets injured or struggles.
