Analysis:

Despite Rosario's minimal improvement as a backstop across four seasons in the majors, the Rockies don't seem to be cutting bait entirely on the idea of him serving as a catcher for the club. Even so, it's clear that after this winter's signing of Nick Hundley, Rosario no longer appears to be the club's primary catcher, forcing him to showcase his versatility to play other positions in an attempt to augment his value. It's probably for the best that Rosario spends more time at a position where his defense might be less of a focal point, but from a fantasy perspective, the probable downgrade in at-bats that would come with a utility role dampens his outlook. Rosario hasn't helped his cause by seeing his offensive production plummet in successive seasons since his 28-homer 2012 campaign, with his OPS dropping to a career-worst .739 in 2014.
