Jung-Ho Kang: Signs Four-Year Deal With Pirates
Kang agreed to a four-year contract with the Pirates on Friday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the pact includes a team option for the 2019 season.
Analysis:
The Pirates were awarded bidding rights on Kang in December, and the two sides were ultimately able to come to a deal. It's not immediately clear what his role in Pittsburgh will be, but he should at least get a chance to compete for a starting job. If he does not earn one, expect him to open the 2015 campaign as the Pirates' utility infielder.
