The Houston Astros welcomed a pair of new relievers on Friday, officially announcing the signings of Pat Neshek and Luke Gregerson to multi-year contracts.

After missing out on both Andrew Miller and David Robertson, general manager Jeff Luhnow was able to acquire two additions to help improve one of the worst bullpen's in the majors in 2014.

Gregerson was signed to a three-year deal, while Neshek agreed to a two-year deal. Though financial terms were not disclosed, Gregerson's deal is reportedly worth $18.5 million, according to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports. Neshek's deal is reportedly worth $12.5 million, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

The 30-year-old Gregerson spent the first five years of his career with the San Diego Padres before pitching for the Oakland Athletics last season. In 72 appearances, the right-hander managed a career-low 2.12 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in 72 1/3 innings. Gregerson's 435 appearances since 2009 are the most in the major league's over that time and he is one of just five pitchers to make at least 60 appearances in each of the last six seasons, according to the team's press release.

Neshek is coming off his first All-Star appearance with the St. Louis Cardinals following last season's strong performance. The unorthodox right-hander fashioned a 1.87 ERA in 67 1/3 innings while managing a 0.79 WHIP. Neshek struck out 68 batters while walking nine. The 34-year-old has held opponents to a career .197 batting average over eight seasons.
