Report: Twins' bid for Korean pitcher Hyeon-jong Yang rejected
The Minnesota Twins' effort to bolster their pitching staff through the international market has failed.
The Kia Tigers of the Korean Baseball Organization rejected a bid for pitcher Hyeon-jong Yang from a major-league team, reportedly the Minnesota Twins, who had a 30-day negotiating window to lure the left-hander.
Yang, who posted a 4.25 ERA in just over 171 innings pitched last season, can't be posted again until Nov. 1, 2015
