Teams looking for an upgrade at catcher this offseason are reaching out to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox have spoken to the D-backs regarding the availability of Miguel Montero, reported Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic.
Piecoro also noted Toronto's signing of Russell Martin surprisingly hasn't increased trade talks involving Montero.
The 31-year-old hit .243 with 13 home runs and 72 RBIs for the lowly Diamondbacks last season, and is one of the best offensive backstops in the majors.
Montero is owed $12 million in 2015 and will earn $14 million in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
