Another player is emerging in the Yasmany Tomas sweepstakes.

The Atlanta Braves are now targeting the Cuban slugger, reports CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

The Philadelphia Phillies are considered the frontrunners to sign Tomas, but the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants are also rumored to be in the mix.

The Braves freed up some cash flow by dealing Jason Heyward to the St. Louis Cardinals, and may seek additional financial relief by making another deal.

Tomas, who could command a deal in excess of fellow Cuban Rusney Castillo's $72.5 million contract, has acquired a visa to attend the winter meetings in San Diego on Dec. 8 and will have the opportunity to visit with teams in person.
