Sano, who underwent Tommy John surgery in March, missed all of last season and is still in the process of recovering. He'll be held out of winter ball, but he has been cleared to throw, hit and field ground balls. The 21-year-old will likely spent the entire 2015 season in the minors and could begin the year at Double-A New Britain, where he finished his 2013 campaign.
