Report: Orioles may consider trading Bud Norris
Though the the Baltimore Orioles are reportedly looking to acquire starting pitching, the club might also attempt to unload right-hander Bud Norris this offseason, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
The 29-year-old is projected to earn $8.7 million in 2015, his final season before free agency, and the Orioles may consider moving him this winter. Acquired from the Houston Astros at the 2013 non-waiver trade deadline, Norris authored a career-best 105 ERA+ over 28 starts for the Orioles last season, though a groin strain sidelined him for 16 days in late June.
Ubaldo Jimenez, meanwhile, is another hurler reportedly drawing some interest on the trade market, though the beleaguered right-hander is set to earn $12.25 million next year and is coming off a disastrous first season in Baltimore.
Should the club manage to trade a starter, though, it would open up a spot in the rotation for top prospect Dylan Bundy, the 22-year-old right-hander who's poised to fend for a job with the Orioles after a successful recovery from Tommy John surgery.
