Report: Braves' Gattis, Justin Upton might still be traded

Brad Mills / USA TODAY Sports

After shipping Jason Heyward to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday, the Atlanta Braves might not be done dismantling their outfield.

Justin Upton and Evan Gattis could still be traded at some point this winter as the Braves are definitely not done moving their players, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com

Upton, like Heyward, has one year left on his deal (at $14.5 million) and the Braves have previously stated that they don't expect to sign him to an extension. The 27-year-old has the option to block a trade to the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians and Toronto Blue Jays.

Braves president John Hart shot down a report last week that the team was trying to move Gattis, who is under team control until 2019. Hart said that the team plans to move the 28-year-old from behind the plate to the outfield.
