Athletics name Darren Bush hitting coach

The Oakland Athletics have filled their hitting coach vacancy internally.
Former bullpen coach Darren Bush will be promoted to the new role, the team announced Thursday.
Bush has served as the bullpen coach for the A's for the last two seasons and also boasts managerial experience at the minor league level.
The Athletics were reportedly very interested in Los Angeles Angels hitting coach Dave Hansen, but were denied permission to interview him.
