Giants' Lincecum missed Game 1 introductions due to upset stomach

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy was painfully honest Wednesday afternoon when he explained why pitcher Tim Lincecum missed pre-game introductions for Game 1 of the World Series at Kauffman Stadium.
Shortly before game time, Lincecum informed Giants trainer Dave Groeschner that he wasn't feeling well, a message which was then relayed to pitching coach Dave Righetti.
Lincecum, however, began to feel better as first pitch neared, and was available out of the bullpen in Tuesday's eventual 7-1 win over the Kansas City Royals.
Lincecum, a two-time Cy Young award winner, has yet to appear in a game this postseason.
