San Francisco Giants slugger Michael Morse is batting seventh as the club's designated hitter for Game 1 of the World Series.

Morse, who was left off the NL Division Series and wild card roster due to an injured oblique, benefits Tuesday with the series starting in an American League park. He also provides Giants manager Bruce Bochy another power threat in his lineup without compromising the team's defensive set.

Travis Ishikawa remains in left field with Kansas City Royals right-hander James Shields on the mound, while the rest of Bochy's lineup is intact from its series-clinching win over St. Louis.
