San Francisco radio stations ban Lorde's 'Royals' in preparation for World Series

The World Series doesn't begin until Tuesday, but the city of San Francisco is already establishing ground rules for its attempt at a third championship in five seasons.

Two local radio stations have banned Lorde's "Royals" from the airwaves in preparation for the Fall Classic due to pressure from listeners on social media.

Lorde was inspired to write the hit song after seeing a photo of Kansas City Royals legend George Brett in a July 1976 issue of National Geographic.

You can bet Kansas City will respond by playing the song repeatedly during its home games of the series at Kauffman Stadium.
