Report: Nationals assistant GM Minniti leaving club
Brad Barr / US PRESSWIRE
Washington Nationals assistant general manager Bryan Minniti is leaving the organization, reports FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
It is unclear why Minniti is leaving the club after five years, but he wrote in an email to friends within the organization that it was "time for a change."
Minniti worked under general manager Mike Rizzo and played a key role in contract negotiations, arbitration preparation, budgeting, and roster decisions.
The Nationals were ousted in four games by the San Francisco Giants in the divisional round of the playoffs after recording a National League-best 96-win regular season.
