Analysis:

Fernandez threw on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery, and reported feeling "incredible" after Friday's session. There's obviously a long way to go in his recovery, but this week has been an encouraging sign for the 22-year-old. He's scheduled to throw again on Monday, but said he probably won't throw off a mound until the start of 2015. At this point, an early 2015 return is possible, but he'll likely miss at least the beginning of the season.
