Jordan Zimmermann's no-hitter is the gift that keeps giving.

After becoming the first pitcher in team history to throw a no-hitter, the Washington Nationals right-hander was named National League Player of the Week on Monday.

Zimmermann's nine-inning, 10-strikeout effort earned him the honor, while Oakland Athletics teammates Sonny Gray and Josh Reddick were jointly recognized for helping their team sneak into the playoffs on the final day of the season.

Gray (1-1, 0.56 earned-run average) struck out 17 in two starts, including a decisive complete-game shutout of the Texas Rangers on Sunday to secure his Athletics a berth in the AL wild-card game.

Reddick also finished the year strong for the playoff-bound Athletics, slashing .480/.480/.760 with a homer, two doubles, triple and seven runs batted in.
