National League Game Summary - Miami at Washington, Game Two

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - After getting shut out in the opener of Friday's doubleheader, the Miami Marlins exploded for 15 runs in the nightcap.

J.T. Realmuto finished with three hits and four RBI and Enrique Hernandez hit a grand slam as Miami powered its way to a 15-7 victory over the Washington Nationals.

Justin Bour had three hits, two RBI and four runs scored and Adeiny Hechavarria collected four hits and drove in two for the Marlins, who had a season-high 22 hits.

"Our offense got on a roll tonight," said Realmuto. "It's always nice to get a win in the back end of a doubleheader."

A.J. Ramos (7-0) earned the win after tossing a scoreless eighth inning. Miami starter Andrew Heaney gave up four runs on six hits and a walk over four innings.

Tyler Moore and Steven Souza both homered Washington, which clinched the top seed in the National League with a 4-0 win over the Marlins earlier in the day. Jayson Werth scored twice, brought in a run and finished a homer shy of the cycle.

"His timing was good tonight. He was right on the balls," Nationals manager Matt Williams said of Werth.

Taylor Hill (0-1) was tagged with the loss in his first career start after giving up seven runs on 10 hits and two walks across 4 2/3 frames.

The Marlins trailed 4-2 after four innings before moving ahead in the fifth. Casey McGehee was hit by a pitch and Garrett Jones singled before Reed Johnson's two-out RBI double down the right-field line made it a one-run game.

Hill intentionally walked Bour to load the bases. Realmuto then cleared them with a triple to left before coming home on Hechavarria's double to right center for a 7-4 advantage.

Werth scored from third when Moore hit into a double play during the home half, and Kevin Frandsen got the Nationals within one in the sixth on an RBI base hit up the middle.

Carter Capps then hit Werth to load the bases with two outs, but induced an inning-ending groundout from Michael Taylor.

The Marlins added three runs for a 10-6 score in the seventh. Bour hit a two- run double to deep center and came home after reliever Aaron Barrett's throw to first on Hechavarria's infield chopper sailed into right field.

Moore crushed a Chris Hatcher fastball to right center to lead off the bottom of the seventh to cut the lead to 10-7.

Realmuto's liner to right drove in a run with none out in the ninth. Hechavarria then singled to load the bases before Hernandez connected on a 2-0 fastball from Stammen to cap the scoring with a grand slam to left center.

In the first, McGehee's line-drive single into shallow center plated Christian Yelich, who worked a leadoff walk. Miami's lead was short-lived. Taylor hit a leadoff double and came home on Frandsen's line-drive single to center. Werth then clubbed a liner to right that resulted in an RBI triple and scored on Wilson Ramos' groundout for a 3-1 lead.

Bour led off the second with a single, Realmuto hit a ground-rule double and Bour came around on Hechavarria's groundout to get the Marlins within a run.

Souza cracked a solo shot to left center in the third to give the Nationals a 4-2 lead.
