DeSclafani lost his appeal and will begin serving his three-game suspension Tuesday against the Phillies, Juan Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

DeSclafani was suspended three games Sept. 12 and was allowed to pitch while submitting his appeal. However, as anticipated, the league has denied his case, and he'll sit out the next three games before being eligible to return Friday for the first of a four-game, season-ending set in Washington.
