Phillies' Papelbon to return from suspension Tuesday vs. Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies will have Jonathan Papelbon available in the bullpen for Tuesday's clash with the Miami Marlins, as the 33-year-old has served the seven-game suspension he received last week for making an obscene gesture during a game at Citizens Bank Park.

Papelbon was slapped with the ban for an incident that transpired Sept. 14 during the ninth inning of his club's 5-4 loss to the Florida Marlins. Papelbon was roundly booed after blowing his fourth save of the season, eliciting a lewd gesture from the five-time All-Star that prompted umpire Joe West to eject him from the game.

An enraged Papelbon proceeded to confront West, an altercation that featured some minor physical contact between the two. Papelbon eventually made his way to the clubhouse, but received a seven-game suspension for his actions shortly thereafter.
