Mariners' Walker to start Friday against Astros
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports
Seattle Mariners right-hander Taijuan Walker will start Friday against the Astros, MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Walker has worked exclusively out of the bullpen since his Sept. 1 return to the major league club, allowing two runs over 9.1 innings in three appearances, but he'll slot back into the rotation Friday in place of Roenis Elias (elbow). The 22-year-old Walker will oppose Brad Peacock in the opener against Houston, and should take the hill again in Toronto next Wednesday for his final outing of the year.
