Michael Wacha: Will Start Saturday

Wacha will start Saturday against the Reds, Jim Bowden of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The 23-year-old struggled against Cincinnati his last time out, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over just four innings. Manager Mike Matheny said afterward that Wacha just "doesn't look right," pointing to a drop in fastball velocity as a reason to skip him one turn through the rotation. Apparently, the club is now confident enough to return him to the hill, but Wacha may have a short leash until he proves he's back at full strength.
