Ryan Braun: Out of the Lineup Tuesday

Braun is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Analysis:

Despite some lingering pain in his right thumb, Braun was able to tough it out and play in the final three games of the Cardinals series as well as the opener against Miami. The issue seems to be clearly inhibiting his abilities at the plate, however, as Braun's batting just .175 with one extra-base hit in his last 11 games. Manager Ron Roenicke will give him a day to rest up, slotting Gerardo Parra in right field in his absence.
