David Price is sure to receive a warm welcome when he takes the mound at Tropicana Field on Thursday as a member of the Detroit Tigers, but the 28-year-old left-hander isn't especially eager to face off against his former team, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times

Selected first overall in the 2007 draft, Price spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Rays before getting traded to the Tigers at last month's trade deadline. Price earned four All-Star berths and won the 2012 Cy Young award during his tenure in Tampa Bay, and the southpaw couldn't resist the temptation to visit his old, familiar clubhouse when he arrived at Tropicana Field on Tuesday.

Price has enjoyed an auspicious start to his career in Detroit, crafting a 3.18 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP while notching 23 strikeouts though his first three starts with the Tigers.
