Jason Heyward: (Back) Will Not Play Friday

Heyward (back) will not play Friday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

Initially, the expectation was that Heyward would only miss one start as a result of his lower back soreness, but he'll sit out Friday for a fourth straight day. He did report some improvement Wednesday and could be back in the lineup as soon as Saturday if he continues to progress, but it sounds like it's at least possible Heyward remains limited through the weekend.
