VIDEO: Marlins furious after home-plate collision rule costs them a win

The Miami Marlins entered play Thursday with a 53-54 record and still in the hunt in the National League East. So it's easy to explain why they're furious after a controversial Rule 7.13 (home plate collision rule) interpretation turned their 1-0 lead into a 3-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

The Marlins were leading 1-0 in the eighth inning when Giancarlo Stanton appeared to throw out Zack Cozart at home plate for the final out. However, after a six-minute review the umpire overturned the call because Jeff Mathis was blocking the plate and Cozart was ruled safe, knotting the game at 1-1. The Reds would then add two more runs in the inning and never look back.

Marlins manager Mike Redmond was furious (as demonstrated by the above picture) with the call, resulting in his ejection.
