The two fiercest rivals in baseball reportedly pulled off a trade with less than 20 minutes to go before Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline.

ESPN's Buster Olney was the first to report the deal.

Though it's a relatively minor deal, it represents the first trade between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox since 1997 when they were involved in a four-player swap.
