To no one's surprise, the Chicago Cubs are struggling to find a suitor for starting pitcher Edwin Jackson.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports the 41-59 Cubs continue to dangle Jackson on the trade block, and not even the Yankees, who were interested in acquiring the 30-year-old in the past, are showing any interest.

It might have something to do with the $22 million he's owed over the next two seasons, plus the remainder of this season's contract, but it probably has more to do with his miserable performances this season that skyrocketed his ERA balloon to 5.68 with a 1.56 WHIP.

Unlike the current situation, there were teams earlier in the year willing to deal for Jackson, but were reportedly turned off when he allowed eight earned runs to the San Diego Padres in May. He's been in an uncontrollable downward spiral ever since.
