The Toronto Blue Jays reunited with left-hander Brad Mills on Thursday, claiming the 29-year-old off waivers from the Oakland Athletics, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2007 draft, Mills made 14 appearances - including nine starts - for the Blue Jays between 2009 and 2011 before getting traded to the Los Angeles Angels for Jeff Mathis prior to the 2012 campaign.

Mills subsequently spent time in the minor leagues for both the Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers before getting purchased by the Athletics on June 17 for the price of one dollar. The Arizona native made three starts for Oakland this season, managing a 4.41 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP over 16 1/3 innings, but was designated for assignment earlier this month to accommodate Jason Hammel on the 40-man roster.
