Losing Zimmerman, who is a 6-4 with a 3.03 ERA, to a long-term injury would be catastrophic, as he's easily been one of Matt Williams' best arms to this point. He previously had Tommy John surgery in August 2009.
Craig Stammen is on in relief for the Nats.
The team should provide an update on his status following the game.
