Report: Mets unlikely to trade Bartolo Colon
Adam Hunger / USA TODAY Sports
Even though they're likely to miss the postseason for an eighth consecutive season, the New York Mets are keen on keeping 41-year-old Bartolo Colon.
Andy Martino of the New York Daily News is reporting that talks surrounding the right-hander "strongly indicates that they'll remain in Queens."
Colon has so far lived up to the two-year, $20 million deal he signed in December, owning a 8-5 record to go with a 3.67 ERA over 100 2/3 innings this season and is 6-0 with a 1.58 ERA over his last seven starts.
