Dodgers' Kemp to start in left field Wednesday vs. Reds

Gary Vasquez / USA TODAY Sport

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp will draw back into the starting lineup Wednesday vs. the Cincinnati Reds for the first time in six days.

It will be Kemp's first start in left since his rookie season in 2006 and he should see a major increase in playing time after the team placed Carl Crawford on the 15-day disabled list prior to the game with an ankle injury.

Kemp's defensive struggles in center field have found him on the bench because of the surplus of talented outfielders on the Dodgers roster. The two-time All-Star was reportedly (see stack below) upset about being benched lately, but Crawford's injury should alleviate the tension he's created in the clubhouse.
